Your entry ticket entitles you to entry aboard the Starship Sydney, a buffet lunch and 2 complimentary drinks. Entertainment includes a DJ with dancing and a photo booth. The function commences at 12.00pm and concludes at 5.00pm. We have a 15 minute window to board the Starship before departure so we advise guests to arrive by 11.45am.
Please note that the Starship Sydney is a licensed premise and as such is subject to the laws relating to the sale and responsible service of alcohol. If you intend to consume alcohol please be aware you may be requested to show proof of age I.D.
Unfortunately we are not able to provide any TAB or other betting facilities on the Starship Sydney. We expect there will be bookies along the King Street Wharf that you can visit prior to boarding the ship however their presence is not 100% guaranteed. It is advisable that you place all bets prior to arrival or install an app on your mobile phone or 3G tablet. Wi-Fi is not available on the Starship.
Under no circumstances may alcohol be brought on board.
Also note that you are not permitted to bring any food onto the ship. This is required by Health regulations.
On the day, the SDA will be conducting a raffle of items to raise money for the Children’s Hospital at Westmead. SDA Organisers will be roving around selling the tickets or they may be purchased from the prize table. Items that are up for raffle have been donated by a number of different retail, pharmaceutical, cosmetic, distribution and warehousing companies for whom many SDA members work.
There will also be prizes on the day for Best Dressed male and female, as well as Best Hat/Fascinator, Best Couple and Best Group.
The event will proceed rain or shine. Refunds will generally not be given.
If you believe you have exceptional circumstances that would justify a refund, you must, after the day, put such details in writing to the Branch Secretary.
The cruise departs from Wharf 4, King Street Wharf. The ship departs at 12pm (noon) and boarding commences approximately 15min before.
